Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) enables companies to improve customer satisfaction and reduce product liability risk by anticipating and preventing defects in design and manufacture. This ONE-DAY course introduces students to the FMEA methodology, applying it to product and process design, and demonstrates how the results of the FMEA are used to define the requirements for:-

• An effective product validation plan
• An effective control plan for the manufacturing process.

Ex 15.4 MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS ANALYSIS - Introduction And Practical Application
This ONE DAY course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the principles of MSA and the methodologies for performance of measurement systems studies.  At the conclusion of the course participants will understand the methodologies of MSA with respect to bias, linearity and stability and will have performed an R&R study.

Ex 15.5 STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS ANALYSIS (SPC/MSA)
This TWO DAY course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the principles of SPC and MSA and the methodologies for performing capability and measurement systems studies.  At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to perform a capability study and generate and utilise SPC Xbar R charts.  In addition, participants will have performed an R&R study and be able to interpret the results in the context of the process variation and product acceptance criteria.

This HALF DAY workshop provides a practical approach to Layered Process Audits utilising Excel's 'Ranked Audit Matrix©' approach which optimises the questions fo be examined during the audits to provide focus on customer and management concerns. The programme has been designed to address the requirement for Manufacturing Process Audits required by ISO/TS 16949:2002 and the AIAG Guidelines for Layered Process Audits (CQI-8 Nov 2005).

ISO/TS 16949 LEAD AUDITOR
This FIVE-DAY course, based on the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and including the additional automotive ISO/TS 16949:2002 requirements, provides an understanding and knowledge of auditing quality management systems to third party standards.  You learn to build on the skills of how to structure, plan and time an effective audit; the conduct and role of a good auditor, and to evaluate and communicate the audit findings.  The course is designed to follow the stages in a live audit, including simulated audit interviews and role play closing meetings.
